PAID UNION MEETING:  Thursday 14 November 2024

The school has been notified that a Paid Union Meeting for all Kelston Girls’ College members of the Post Primary Teachers Association will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, 14 November 2024. Whilst the school will remain open during this time and supervision will be available, some adjustments are needed to accommodate this meeting and minimise disruption to learning.

The morning will run as follows:

• Block 1 9:00 - 10:30

• Interval 10:30  - 11:00

• Block 2 11:00- 12:30 

• Lunches available from 12:30 

• All students not requiring supervision off-site by 12:45

Most of the staff belong to the PPTA, so students will be released at 12:30 p.m. to go home. At 12:30 a.m., lunches will be available from the Canteen. All students not remaining at school for supervision will need to be off-site by 12:45 p.m.

Supervised study will be provided for students who need to stay at school until their usual finish time of 3:10 p.m. These students are required to report to the library at 1:15 p.m.

Please also note, as advised previously, that Friday, November 15th, is a teacher-only day. These teacher-only days provide schools and Kura with dedicated time to understand, prepare for, and engage with changes across Education.
